At the heart of The Reverie’s recording equipment is an industry icon with a storied history: Our 1987 Solid State Logic 6000E console.
Originally built for a studio in Mexico, our console found its way to the legendary Flyte Tyme Studios in Minneapolis where it was used to record many songs including those by iconic musicians Micheal and Janet Jackson, Boyz 2 Men, Mariah Carey and Mary J Blige.
In 2003, it was decommissioned and sold to a private studio where it eventually ended up in storage. Through the help of some colleagues in the business, Adam discovered the SSL and purchased it in 2019, at which time it was brought back to life with a complete servicing, recapping and customization.
In its current home at The Reverie, this one-of-a-kind 32-channel SSL console offers artists the chance to record their music with the unique unmatchable sonic quality of analog gear.
To complement the SSL’s sound, we have a wide selection of microphones, outboard gear, amplifiers and instruments to maximize the quality of each recording. If you require something specific for your project, just ask!
